    Surgery Cardiothoracic Physician

    Job Description

    • Proven proficiency in cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures
    • Ability to perform CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic surgeries, and minimally invasive heart surgeries
    • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathology, and surgical best practices
    • Excellent decision-making and clinical judgment skills
    • Licensure or IMLC certification in Minnesota
    • Ability to handle routine and emergent cases efficiently
    • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities

    Requirements

    • Experience with TAVR and structural heart interventions
    • Familiarity with robotic and thoracoscopic surgery techniques
    • Prior experience in a trauma or high-acuity environment
    • Additional certifications in advanced cardiac or thoracic surgery
    • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
    • Board-certified or eligible in Thoracic Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery
    • Minimum of 3 years post-residency experience in cardiothoracic surgery
    • Prior trauma surgery experience preferred but not mandatory

    Other Requirements

    • Minnesota licensure or IMLC certification required
    • Willingness to work a shift schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with 1 in 3 call rotations covering day, overnight, and weekend shifts
    • Availability for start date around March 16, 2026; readiness to submit a complete application
    • The role encompasses predominantly routine cases along with complex surgeries scheduled around specific dates including March 16-22, March 30-April 5, April 20-26, and May 4-10
