Job Description
- Seeking Emergency Department/Urgent Care Center physician assistants and nurse practitioners
- ED/UCC experience preferred
- New grads with strong emergency or paramedic/EMT experience will be considered
- Current national certification and DEA required
- Current KS state license, PALS, and ACLS are a plus
- Providers will rotate between Ascension Via Christi Hospital - St. Joseph, Ascension Via Christi Hospital - St. Teresa, and Ascension Via Christi Hospital - St. Francis
The Practice
Ascension Via Christi Hospital St. Francis - Wichita, KS
- 801-bed facility with a Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, burn unit, and tertiary care center
- 30-bed main ED with an annual volume of 55,000+ and all backup specialties
- Vituity scribe assistance for physicians
- Accredited Chest Pain and STEMI Center and Bariatric Center of Excellence
- Candidates wanting to work in an academic setting with current residents desired
Ascension Via Christi Hospital St. Joseph - Wichita, KS
- A 281-bed facility that features high-risk maternity services and a Level II neonatal ICU
- Annual ED volume of 45,000
- This location is amongst Kansas' busiest EDs
- Recipient of Vituity's Practice of the Year Award in 2023
Ascension Via Christi Hospital St. Teresa - Wichita, Kansas
- A 68-bed facility and the only community hospital serving the West Wichita Area
- 14-bed ED and Level III Trauma Center
- Annual ED volume of 20,000 and admit rate of 15-20%
- Vituity scribe support for physicians
- Houses a full-service ED, Medical/Surgical ICU, rehabilitation unit, and one da Vinci Robotic Surgical system
- Accredited Geriatric ED
Rock Regional Hospital - Derby, Kansas
- 6-bed Emergency Department with a 15% admit rate
- Annual volume is 10,000 with an average of 25-30 patients per day
- Cerner EMR
- Mostly 8-hour physician shifts
