Respiratory Therapist

Job Description:

• Administer respiratory care within the scope of practice under a physician's order
• Perform oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECG's, and mechanical ventilation of adult/geriatric patients
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy, communicating with the physician and health care team

Requirements:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure required
• NC Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required
• Basic Life Support certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification required

Education:

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required

Experience:

• 1 year in Clinical - Respiratory Therapy preferred
• Experience in Clinical - Emergency/Trauma preferred
