Job Description

• Administer medications, as prescribed, and under the direction of a licensed nurse
• Promptly report to the nurse a resident's request/need for PRN medications
• Promptly report to the nurse any adverse or concerning reactions to medications
• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff management, and families
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures
• Provide physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming
• Answer call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident's needs
• Assist in maintaining acceptable nutrition for residents and document meal intake, as prescribed
• Know proper technique for first aid
• Complete documentation of medication administration
• Assist in maintaining a therapeutic environment for the residents
• Motivate and encourage resident involvement in activities
• Assist residents to and from activities
• Lift, turn, and reposition residents as needed
• Perform any other duties as assigned or delegated by the Director of Care or designee

Requirements

• Current valid Medication Aide Certificate authorized by the Ohio Board of Nursing
• CPR Certified
• Nurse Aide Certification
