    Job Description

    • Take on referrals from the Emergency and Inpatient units and collaborate with hospital staff to set up intakes with families for WAARM therapy services.
    • Follow up with families to determine if they are interested in participating in short-term services through the program.
    • Complete an intake and assess to ensure that short-term services are appropriate for the client's immediate needs.
    • Provide specialized direct services to children and their families in their homes, schools, clinic, and communities.
    • Complete a diagnostic addendum used in conjunction with records provided by the treating hospital.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans, safety planning, and goal setting based on the diagnosis.
    • Provide individual and family therapy designed to improve the functioning of the child in daily and community living.
    • Provide parent psychoeducation.
    • Coordinate care of social and other services designed to help the child and family gain access to all service providers and interdisciplinary services.
    • Provide consultation with school, recreation, and other community programs to encourage the child's successful participation.
    • Create a discharge plan.

    Supervision and Professional Development

    • Attend weekly supervision and case consultation, present case information, and create and identify questions for consultation and supervision.
    • Provide and receive support from other team members.
    • Provide clinical and administrative supervision for interns as approved by the program assistant supervisors based on licensure and experience.
    • Maintain required CEUs.

    Requirements

    • Master's Degree with licensure at the professional level in Social Work, Counseling, Family and Marriage Therapy, or Psychology required.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience with severely emotionally disturbed children and their families required.
    • 2 - 4 years of experience with severely emotionally disturbed children and their families desired.
    • Valid Driver's license required.
    • Valid MN Licensure as a Mental Health Professional (LICSW/LPCC/LMFT/LP) desired.

    Salary

    Salary bracket: $65,000 - $78,000 (Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to licensure, work experience, and education).

    Washburn offers benefits to full-time benefit eligible employees including comprehensive dental, vision, health, life, and long-term disability insurance. Additionally, we offer a 403b retirement plan and a flexible benefit option (FSA).

    • Paid vacation accrues at 10 hours of vacation per month - up to 15 days / 120 hours annually.
    • Paid sick leave accrues at 6.68 hours of sick per month - up to 10 days / 80 hours.
    • There are 2.5 days/20 hours of floating holidays per year in addition to the eight standard holidays.

    Please note that internships, part-time (less than 30 hours/week), and temporary positions are not eligible for all of Washburn Center's benefits.
