Job Description:
- Manage and supervise nursing staff and operations to ensure appropriate healthcare services for patients.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and healthcare team to oversee and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintain a safe, healthy environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff, including conducting performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
- Evaluate patient care quality and implement improvement initiatives in collaboration with Nurse Managers and DON.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organization policies and procedures.
- Participate in policy and procedure development and hospital-wide employee orientations.
- Provide professional nursing care as needed to respond to workload demands or staffing shortages.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.

Experience:
- Three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting with an additional two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Two (2) years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working exclusively with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or multiple disabilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies including The Joint Commission, DHSS, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services is preferred.
