Job Description

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home environment to ensure residents attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
• Follow and uphold the community's philosophy and goal to maintain, improve, and/or enhance each resident's quality of care and quality of life.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as outlined in the care plan.
• Complete documentation of resident care as assigned.
• Follow safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety.
• Uphold policies and procedures of the community.
• Follow rules outlined in the community's employee handbook.
• Attend and participate in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Follow infection control guidelines.
• Report changes in residents' condition immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Observe residents' rights including, but not limited to, privacy and dignity.
• Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests.

Requirements

• Must have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations in clinical skills and written knowledge in accordance with statutory requirements for Certified Nurse Assistant.
