Job Description

• Must be able to travel to Cedar Falls locations, Creekside in Grundy Center, Parkview in Reinbeck, and Grand JiVante in Ackley, and other future locations of WHC.
• Full-time employees must work 3 self-scheduled weekend shifts a month OR choose an on-call weekend.
• Part-time employees must work 2 self-scheduled shifts a month or choose an on-call weekend.
• Must work 2 self-scheduled holidays.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Reliability and attendance at scheduled shifts.
• Ensure resident's rights are adhered to.
• Coordinate the preparation and planning of resident admission, giving proper recognition to the real and potential contribution of family and others in planning nursing care.
• Accurately administer all medications, treatments, and physician orders, taking ultimate responsibility for resident care.
• Provide for the emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents and emotional support to families.
• Assist with supervising, assisting, consulting with, and teaching certified nursing assistants.

Requirements

• A positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must possess a current active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa.
• Experience/ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
• Prior LPN experience is preferred but not required.
