Job Description

• Effectively communicate resident needs with physicians and immediate supervisor
• Maintain awareness of the condition of all residents under their care
• Accurately administer all medications, treatments, and physician orders; taking ultimate responsibility for resident care
• Confer with the Director of Nursing on an ongoing basis with special problems of care, resident transfers, management of workload, etc.
• Coordinate preparation and planning of resident admission; giving proper recognition to the real and potential contribution of family and others in planning nursing care
• Provide for emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents, and emotional support to families
• Supervise, assist, consult with, and teach certified nursing assistants

Requirements

• Graduate of a state board-approved school
• Currently licensed in Iowa
• Current in CPR certification or willing to achieve it
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays as required/needed
• Exceptional attendance
