    Radiologic Technologist

    Join our team as a Radiologic Technologist, where you will produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures.

    Job Description

    • Review requisitions, check and prepare equipment and supplies.
    • Identify, interview, and screen patients for proper preparation and for possible allergies to contrast materials. Consult with radiologist or attending physician as needed.
    • Explain procedures to patients, position patients on the table, and use appropriate protocol for exams ordered.
    • Knowledgeable on lab tests needed prior to exams.
    • Schedule and/or reschedule patients as needed.
    • Able to enter exams in Radiology Information System and PACS.
    • Provide radiologist with proper history for complete diagnosis.
    • Review/evaluate completed images for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered.
    • Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality.
    • Assist in care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies. Keep work areas clean. Maintain supply levels.
    • Must adhere to hospital dress code.
    • Attend in-service meetings and other meetings as required. Attendance of 50% of all department meetings is required.
    • Able to send images to both cloud systems.
    • Perform duties of Radiologic Technologist as needed.
    • Perform other duties as directed by Diagnostic Imaging Director.
    • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
    • Registry from the ARRT in Radiology required; registry in CT preferred.
    • BLS required.
    • Organizational skills.
    • Computer experience.
    • Must work well under pressure.
    • Ability to communicate well with people both in person and on the phone.
    • Effectively act as a liaison between patients and providers.
    • Must adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations.
    • Medical terminology knowledge.
    • Typing skills.
    • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures, and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.

    Physical/Mental Requirements

    • Must be able to sit and stand intermittently for 8 to 10 hours a day.
    • Must be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard.
    • Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines.
    • Continuously utilizes manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing.
    • Frequently stands, walks, sits, and utilizes eye/hand coordination and color definition.
    • Occasionally reaches above shoulder; regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.
    • Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces.
