    Job Description:

    • Start Date: Mid-January 2025 (Temp privileges available for expedited start).
    • Schedule:
      • Weekdays:
        • 1 MDA on vacation weekly (except 2 weeks per year).
        • 1 MDA post-call daily.
        • 1 MDA on call daily.
        • 1 MDA works day shift only.
        • 1 MDA serves as 2nd call daily.
      • Weekends:
        • Alternating 1st and 2nd call coverage among MDAs.
        • Remaining MDAs have the weekend off.

    Call Details:

    • 1st Call: Provider may go home after cases finish; returns only for additional cases or central line needs.
    • 2nd Call: Generally stays late; back-up for non-cardiac 1st call MDAs.
    • Call Ratio: 1 in 5.

    Facility Information:

    • Practice Setting: Hospital-based; surgical services department.
    • Trauma Level: Level II trauma center.
    • EMR: Cerner PowerChart.
    • Surgical Volume: 13 cases/day average.
    • Operating Rooms: 12.
    • ER Volume: 25k annually.
    • Patient Demographic: Primarily adult/geriatric; no complex adolescent or pediatric cases.

    Requirements:

    • Board Certified: Required.
    • Cardiac Experience: Required.
    • Cardiac Cases: Must be willing and able to perform independently (list years of experience).
    • Procedures:
      • General surgical (adult & pediatric), minor nerve blocks, spinal/epidural anesthesia, open heart, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and regional anesthesia.
      • Acute pain management, ventilation management, and insertion of central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheters.
    • Volume/BP Management: Acute evaluation and management required.
    • COVID Vaccine

    Credentialing Information:

    • Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Active or eligible license (open to all).
    • Availability for full-time coverage (note start date).
    • Must supervise experienced CRNAs (100% supervision).
