Location: Altoona, PA

Job Description:

• Facility is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join its diverse and dynamic team.
• Provide care across a broad variety of cases, including general surgery, GI, basic pediatrics, neuro, OB/GYN, trauma, and orthopedics.
• Work within a schedule of full-time coverage, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
• Option to work at Bedford, a smaller surgery center, if interested.
• Provide anesthesia care across 12 ORs and 15-16 anesthetizing locations.
• Work with a team of 21 CRNAs and 8 MDs.
• Provide both supervisory and hands-on anesthesia care.
• Typical cases include general surgery, GI, basic pediatrics, neuro, OB/GYN, trauma (Level III), orthopedics, and urology.
• 24/7 intensivist and neuro support available.
• Intensivists run codes, allowing anesthesiologists to focus on their cases.

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible candidates must be within 3 years of residency).
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• Active Pennsylvania State License is highly preferred, but candidates needing to obtain a license will be considered.
• Minimum of one year of relevant anesthesiology experience.
• NPDB self-query submission required at presentation for review.
• Full privileges available; days to privilege approximately 90 days.
