    Job Description:

    • Facility seeking a Cardiologist (Non-Invasive, Invasive, or Interventional) for locum coverage
    • Inpatient cardiology duties including rounding on new consults and existing in-house patients
    • Reading EKGs, Echos, Stress Tests, and performing cardioversions and TEEs
    • Predominantly older adult patient population aged 40-90 years

    Responsibilities:

    • Inpatient Duties:

      • Rounding on new consults and existing in-house patients
      • Reading EKGs (50-75 per day), Echos (8 on average), and Stress Tests (1-2 per day if needed)
      • Performing cardioversions and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs)
    • Schedule:

      • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (approximate)
      • Specific weeks required:
        • December 2-6, 2024
        • January 6-10, 2025
        • February 10-14, 2025
        • March 17-21, 2025
        • April 21-25, 2025
        • May 27-30, 2025
        • June 30-July 3, 2025
        • August 4-8, 2025
    • Support:

      • Physician Assistant (PA) available for daily rounds with the Cardiologist
      • Cardiologist available by phone for additional support

    Requirements:

    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
    • Active Connecticut State Medical License
    • Proficiency in inpatient cardiology and relevant procedures required
