Gastroenterology Physician

Outpatient GI Locums

Location: West Jordan, Utah

Job Description:

• Two Gastroenterologists needed for clinic and procedural coverage
• Work schedule includes Monday-Friday
• Clinic hours: 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• Procedural hours: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
• Flexible lunch break: 30-60 minutes per provider preference
• Dates needed: Dec 11-13, Dec 23-24, 26-27, 30-31, Jan 2-3, 13-17, 27-31, Feb 12-14, 26-28, Mar 10-14, 24-28
• Ongoing Monday-Friday, as needed (20-25 days/month total coverage)

Patient Volume:

• Procedures: 12-15 per day (30-minute slots)
• Clinic patients: 8-10 per day (30-minute slots)

Procedures Performed:

• EGD, General GI cases, Double Colon + EGD procedures, bowel preparation

Requirements:

• Certifications: Board Certified in Gastroenterology, BLS, DEA, CSR
• Licensure: Active Utah License preferred
• Fellowship: Gastroenterology Fellowship required
• Experience: Capability for ERCP preferred
• Compliance: Acknowledge EMR training, disclose available dates and shifts, clean malpractice history

• Equipment: Fujinon scopes, anesthesia supported by anesthesiologists
• Procedures: Maximized sedation with propofol
• Patient mix: Focus on IBD, abdominal pain, EOE, minimal hepatitis
• Waitlist: 40+ procedures pending; immediate coverage needed
