Job Description:

- Practice Setting: Hospital-based (includes 4 hours of clinical time)
- Patient Demographics: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
- Average Surgical Cases: Based on ER patient flow
- Trauma Level: III
- EMR System: EPIC
- OR Facilities: 9 operating rooms
- Current Team: 4 general surgeons
Procedural Requirements:
- General Surgical Cases:
- Adult and trauma cases
- Laser-certified procedures
- Chest wall/pleural procedures
- Ventilation management, central line insertion, PA catheter placement, chest tube insertion
- Aneurysm repairs
- Abdominal and vascular access devices, AV shunt, hernioplasty
- Cholecystectomy, Nissen fundoplication
- Upper and lower sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy
Requirements:
- Board Certification: ABOS or AOBOS - Required
- Licensing:
- Active Virginia license - Required (must already be active)
- BLS and ACLS certification - Required
- COVID Vaccination: Preferred (must have before credentialing)
- Background: Clean background highly preferred
