    Mental Health Practitioner

As a Mental Health Practitioner in one of our 24-hour facilities, you will provide care and support to clients with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

    You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care plans that help individuals achieve their mental health goals.

    Job Description:

    • Assess the strengths and needs of clients upon admission.
    • Assist clients with independent living skills including shopping, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
    • Monitor and document physical and emotional status.
    • Monitor medication compliance and report any side effects.
    • Facilitate residential program activities, classes, and groups.
    • Accurately complete treatment plans, shift notes, admission and discharge paperwork, and financial forms.
    • Respond appropriately to all crises and utilize verbal and non-verbal techniques with clients.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field.
    • 1 year of experience providing services to individuals with a mental illness or substance use disorder required.
    • Must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner in the State of MN.
    • Experience working with severe emotional disturbances in children is preferred.
    • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
