In this flexible, as-needed role, you will provide critical behavioral health support for federal operations in San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position and is open to U.S. Citizens ONLY. In this role, you will be part of a specialized team called upon to address surges or backfill needs for ongoing operations. You will conduct initial assessments and mental health evaluations for unaccompanied minors, ensuring their well-being and providing critical support during periods of high demand. This position involves supporting unaccompanied minors and working with diverse clients in a fast-paced environment. You will observe the physical environment, individual interactions, and verbal and nonverbal cues to assess child well-being concerns and ensure appropriate staff-child interactions. Additionally, you will help identify opportunities for progress, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and create strategies to improve clients' lives.
