**Job Description**

- Evaluate patient's speech and language abilities, both defects and assets, and perform periodic reevaluations.
- Plan and provide rehabilitating services for speech and language disorders.
- Maintain records of patient's progress and reaction toward treatment on a daily basis.
- Instruct and counsel other health team personnel and family members in methods of assisting patients in improving, correcting, and accepting disabilities.

**Requirements**

- As required, licensed by The State of New York as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- A master's degree is required and one (1) full year of supervised work experience. Speech Language Pathologist supervisors must have at least three (3) years of clinical experience.
- The Speech Language Pathologist is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and certified by the association.
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
