    Job Description

    • Design, manage, and execute system-wide event management processes including coordination, facilitation, and integration of event/peer review information to achieve continuous improvements in patient care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
    • Act as an expert resource for event management with the objectives of enhancing patient safety, reducing patient harm, and achieving Christiana Care's strategic and patient safety goals.

    Requirements

    • Master's degree in Nursing or 5-10 years equivalent experience in patient safety and/or quality.
    • Current Delaware/Compact RN licensure required.
    • Minimum two years' work experience in patient safety or quality preferred.
    • Organizational skills and project management experience in patient safety or quality preferred.
    • Certification by National Association for Health Care Quality preferred.
    • Experience in supervisory or management position preferred.
    • Education, understanding of, and/or experience in one or more of the following are desirable: information technology, performance improvement, outcome analysis, utilization management, team facilitation, and education (patient/staff) preferred.
