    Job Description:

    • Provide medical care for patients and facilitate transition of care at discharge from the hospital by communicating a summary of the hospital course, discharge medications, pending diagnostic studies, and follow-up instructions to the primary care provider and pertinent consultants.
    • Be responsible for comprehensive patient care to assure that the health care needs of patients are being met, including attendance at Interdisciplinary or nursing rounds and daily communication with the team caring for the patient.
    • Render quality medical services according to qualifications as an internal medicine or family practice physician with appropriate referrals, follow-up, and hospitalization.
    • Support hospital medical staff and other area physicians utilizing the Hospitalist service by overseeing the inpatient experience, including providing follow-up care for patients in the outpatient realm.
    • Communicate health status and treatment plan to patient, family, and hospital staff.
    • Document information completely for patient care and billing purposes, and assist in the review of work flow, office practices, and objectives; and teach medical students, residents, and others in graduate health education programs.

    Requirements:

    • Doctorate of Medicine required
    • Current Physician License in the state of Colorado required
    • Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required
    • Other certifications may be required depending on practice setting or credentialing requirements

    Physical Requirements:

    • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
