Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments, diagnostic, and therapeutic tasks and procedures under the supervision of a physician, acknowledging the patient's age.
- Plan, prescribe, and treat in accordance with written protocols and within the supervising physician's competency area.
- Report to the supervising physician for medical concerns and the Area Director for other matters.

- Schedule: 10-hour shifts/4 days a week; 14-17 patients per shift
Assignment:
- Outpatient Clinic
- PA not expected to escalate opiate doses, typically done by the physician.
- Procedures optional; physician willing to teach if PA is interested.
- Clinic willing to adapt around PA's skill set.

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant training program.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Current California PA license from the California Medical Board Physician Assistant Examining Committee.
- Must be CPR certified; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Preferred Experience:
- Preferably 2 years of experience in pain management, orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, neurosurgery, neurology, or physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Special Skills:
- Ability to take medical history, assess medical condition, and interpret findings.
- Ability to prepare and maintain records, write reports, and respond to correspondence.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with patients, clinical staff, and the public.
Pay Range:
$56.82-$82.39 per hour
