Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Hospital Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist

Location: Seattle, Washington

Job Description:

• Hospital-based position working cooperatively with medical, surgical, emergency, and social work services
• Address complex medical and behavioral health needs of patients
• Provide care for disorders like delirium, mood, psychotic, anxiety, substance use, and somatic symptom disorders
• Work with patients under the Involuntary Treatment Act with Single Bed Certification
• Educational role in clinical teams, including residency programs
• Collaborative environment with physicians, advanced practitioners, medical and surgical trainees, nurses, social workers, and other health professionals

Schedule/Call:

• Work weekdays taking consults from 8-5
• No overnight or weekend responsibilities, covered by an outside tele psychiatry service

Requirements:

• BE/BC Psychiatrist
• Fellowship training and BC/BE in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred
• Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
• Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority
