Lake City Care Center in Lake City, MN has an outstanding opportunity to take a free CNA course from March 17th to March 28th, 2025, upon acceptance of a CNA job offer. Earn $16.00/hour training wage while taking Ebenezer's 2-week hybrid Nursing Assistant/CNA course in March. Upon passing our MDH approved CNA course, start working as a Nursing Assistant at our vibrant transitional care (TCU) and long-term care (LTC) facility in Lake City, MN, and receive a wage increase to $22.35 per hour! Extra pay is available for working evenings and nights. With this training program, Ebenezer will pay for the CNA course, books, and required state CNA exam fees for each student hired.

Job Description

• Assists adult residents/patients based on individual care plans with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and responding to call lights.
• May turn, lift, or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
• Observes residents and reports status to nursing (RN/LPN) staff in a clear and concise manner.
• Charts or documents all cares in the electronic medical record system.
• Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in the work shift.

Requirements

• Must pass the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Course by March 28, 2025. Then, within 4 months of the hire date, must pass the State of MN Nursing Assistant/Nurse Aide exams to be placed on the MN Nursing Assistant registry.
• Interest in starting your health/senior care career as a nursing assistant with Lake City Care Center. Opportunities to grow within Ebenezer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric/older population.
• Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant, or related coursework.
• Work experience in a customer service setting.
