Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR)
This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus! Shift differentials of $1.00 for evenings and $1.50 for nights apply. We are seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our adult residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility in Lake City, MN! This role provides hands-on care and support services for our Care Center long-term care unit residents and young adult-geriatric Transitional Care Unit patients.
Job Description
- Assists residents based on individual care plans with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and showers; responds to call lights.
- Nursing Assistant may check and record vitals per community patient care model.
- Provides AM/PM cares, including peri care and catheter care.
- May turn, lift, or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
- Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
- Charts or documents in the electronic medical record system.
- Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns.
- Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in the work shift.
- Performs other duties such as maintaining order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reporting malfunctioning equipment to the maintenance department, and answering phones in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Active on MN Nursing Assistant registry by start date.
- If hired into the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, granted a 4-month grace period from hire date to be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
- Communicate efficiently, with empathy and understanding for residents and coworkers.
- Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, or Resident Assistant.
- Work experience in a customer service setting.
