Location: 20 minutes from downtown Chicago

Job Description:

• Join a growing Radiology Department with over 50 subspecialized radiologists
• Candidates must be Board Certified in Radiology and fellowship-trained in Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK)
• Exhibit strong clinical skills to work effectively and efficiently across the full spectrum of imaging modalities/procedures relevant to MSK imaging
• On-site position with participation in interventional procedures including MRI, CT, joint injection/aspiration, bone marrow sampling, and soft tissue/bone biopsy
• Hospital-based practice setting
• RVU expectation
• 5-90% plain film, 10-15% CT/MR
• 2 Types of Call: Weekday 4pm-11pm call from home (only with no day shifts on those days) about once a week on average; weekend call about 7 calls per year
• Intermittent evening shift and weekend call duties are fulfilled remotely from home with fully functional PACS/Voice recognition systems
• Strong interest in clinical and formal resident education is essential
• Average Number of Cases Per Day: Mix plain film and cross-sectional. 110 xrays, 20 MRIs/CT/Ultrasound
• Trauma Level/Designation: Loyola = Trauma 1, MNH and GMH = Trauma 2
• Number of Radiologists in Practice: Specific to MSK is 4.8 FTEs, in department 41 FTE
• Teleradiology is not used for MSK
• Patient Age Demographic: All ages, but pediatrics not required

Opportunities:

• Consideration may be given for appointment as Section Chief for the appropriate candidate

Technical Environment:

• EMR: Epic, Powerscribe 360, Interad PACs, Softek Illuminate
• Credentialing timeline: usually 2-3 months (depends on if physician has IL license in hand or not)
