Join a Growing Radiology Department
Location: 20 minutes from downtown Chicago
Job Description:
- Join a growing Radiology Department with over 50 subspecialized radiologists
- Candidates must be Board Certified in Radiology and fellowship-trained in Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK)
- Exhibit strong clinical skills to work effectively and efficiently across the full spectrum of imaging modalities/procedures relevant to MSK imaging
- On-site position with participation in interventional procedures including MRI, CT, joint injection/aspiration, bone marrow sampling, and soft tissue/bone biopsy
- Hospital-based practice setting
- RVU expectation
- 5-90% plain film, 10-15% CT/MR
- 2 Types of Call: Weekday 4pm-11pm call from home (only with no day shifts on those days) about once a week on average; weekend call about 7 calls per year
- Intermittent evening shift and weekend call duties are fulfilled remotely from home with fully functional PACS/Voice recognition systems
- Strong interest in clinical and formal resident education is essential
- Average Number of Cases Per Day: Mix plain film and cross-sectional. 110 xrays, 20 MRIs/CT/Ultrasound
- Trauma Level/Designation: Loyola = Trauma 1, MNH and GMH = Trauma 2
- Number of Radiologists in Practice: Specific to MSK is 4.8 FTEs, in department 41 FTE
- Teleradiology is not used for MSK
- Patient Age Demographic: All ages, but pediatrics not required
Opportunities:

- Consideration may be given for appointment as Section Chief for the appropriate candidate
Technical Environment:
- EMR: Epic, Powerscribe 360, Interad PACs, Softek Illuminate
- Credentialing timeline: usually 2-3 months (depends on if physician has IL license in hand or not)
