Schedule

• Inpatient, no call
• Holiday required, only if it falls on the weekly rotation
• Monday - Sunday: 7 on/7 off; 6p-6a

Job Description

• Manage inpatient admissions and consults for trauma, general surgery, and urology
• Respond to level I and level II traumas, perform admissions/H&P/consults
• Act as hospital-wide first call for all inpatient surgical services (general surgery, trauma, ortho, urology, colorectal)
• Proficient in suturing, central lines, art lines, and tube placement
• Evaluate general surgical & trauma consults/admissions and discuss with on-call general surgeon
• Board any surgical cases
• Urology admissions/consults/board cases for surgery
• Troubleshoot foley catheters/troubleshoot continuous bladder irrigation/assist with setup for bedside procedure if surgeon is needed
• Proctoring - Minimum 5 per procedure

Requirements

• ACLS & ATLS (100% Requirement)
• Case Logs: 50 cases within 12 months
• Active MI License

• EPIC/Dragon
