    Staff Development Coordinator

    We are seeking an outstanding Staff Development Coordinator to join our team at La Villa Grande Care Center, a large senior living community in Grand Junction.     Job Description

    • The Staff Development Coordinator provides, plans, coordinates, and manages orientation and in-service education for facility employees.
    • The coordinator also takes on the role of the Infection Prevention/Control Coordinator and is responsible for designing systems and approving actions to prevent/control and monitor reports of infections and/or potential infections among residents and staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Learning needs and designs in-service and continuing education programs based on quality assurance data to meet needs and regulatory guidelines.
    • Develops, implements, communicates, and evaluates the annual training plan.
    • Develops specific teaching plans and programs to cover training needs for all roles on a regular basis.
    • Works with the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care is held to the highest standard and all facility policies and procedures are carried out by every staff member.

    Requirements

    • Must hold a current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
    • Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred but not required. Background/training in infection control is preferred.
    • Current CPR certificate desired.
