    Job Title: Occupational Medicine Physician

    Location: Colorado, Arizona, California, Nevada

    Job Description:

    • Provides healthcare to patients both in clinic and via tele-medicine according to the established principles of clinical practice and the current organizational plan or need.
    • Provides support and assistance to any Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at the Physician's clinic location, including supervising or rendering care for patients as needed. Center Medical Director will serve as primary supervisor for APPs.
    • Performs complete history and physical exams, including vision, hearing, and electrocardiograms, to determine capacity to safely perform job functions.
    • Provides medical opinions regarding job accommodations if needed.
    • Reviews and interprets radiographs of the chest to detect pre-existing pulmonary conditions.
    • Participates in the legal process of workers' compensation, including SAMM's calls, depositions, and testifying in hearings when requested.
    • Performs Fit for Duty evaluations.

    Conditions Managed:

    • Common occupational musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, back, and extremities.
    • Work-related injuries to the head, chest, or abdomen.
    • Work-related lacerations and eye injuries.
    • Occupational asthma and respiratory symptoms.
    • Treatment of non-displaced uncomplicated fractures.

    Evaluation and Management:

    • Perform accurate history and physical exams, leading to accurate diagnosis and management.
    • Be aware of OSHA recordability and provide appropriate care.
    • Perform "first aid" treatments when medically appropriate.
    • Prescribe appropriate medications and therapy.
    • Order and interpret radiographs.
    • Refer for specialized testing and specialty care as needed.
    • Identify appropriate limitations to activity at home and work.
    • Communicate with employers regarding treatment plans and patient capacity.

    Organizational Duties:

    • Serve as a leader in the clinic, promoting outcomes and engagement.

    Requirements:

    • MD/DO
    • Occupational Medicine experience preferred; will train candidates with experience in UC, FP, IM, ER, Sports Medicine, or Ortho.
    • FMCSA certified for DOT exams preferred, required within 60 days of hire (certification expenses covered by MBI).
    • Current state and DEA licensure in good standing.
    • Level II Accredited preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Proficiency in EMR systems.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Must maintain confidentiality.
    • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

    Compensation:

    • Hourly rates range from $100.00 to $135.00, depending on experience
    • $10K annual KPI bonus opportunity

    Work Schedule:

    • Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
