Radiologist - Musculoskeletal Radiology
Looking for a full-time provider Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The candidate will join a growing Radiology Department of over 50 subspecialized radiologists supporting clinical services across Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Hospital, MacNeal Hospital, and associated ambulatory care centers.
Job Description
- Candidates must be board certified in Radiology and fellowship-trained in Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK).
- Exhibit strong clinical skills to work effectively and efficiently across the full spectrum of imaging modalities/procedures relevant to MSK imaging.
- This is an on-site position with participation in interventional procedures including MRI, CT, joint injection/aspiration, bone marrow sampling, and soft tissue biopsy.
- Practice setting is hospital-based.
- Average number of cases per day: Mix of plain film and cross-sectional imaging, including 110 X-rays, 20 MRIs/CT/Ultrasound.
- Trauma level/designation: Loyola = Trauma 1, MNH and GMH = Trauma 2.
- Number of radiologists in practice: Specific to MSK is 4.8 FTEs, in department 41 FTE.
- Teleradiology is not used for MSK.
- Patient age demographic: All ages, but pediatrics not required.
- There are opportunities for clinical and translational research if interested.
- EMR: Epic, Powerscribe 360, Interad PACs, Softek Illuminate.
- Credentialing timeline: Usually 2-3 months (depends on if physician has IL license in hand or not).
