    Job Description

    • The primary responsibility of a Multi-Modality Technologist is to perform and produce images for any combination of 2 procedures with related techniques, such as CT, XR, or MRI.
    • Performs duties for any 2 imaging modalities, such as XR, CT, MRI, ARRT, or RDMS.
    • Safely operate equipment and accessories to minimize risk to patients and equipment.
    • Select appropriate imaging and sequences in alignment with multiple factors.
    • Knowledge in workflows, procedures, and processes of the imaging modalities.
    • Perform venipuncture including starting, maintaining, and removing intravenous access.
    • Provide radiation protection and other protection specific to the modalities.
    • Obtain and verify the patient clinical history and lab work.
    • Use of POC device for lab work.

    Requirements

    • Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute for an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or an approved School of Ultrasound/Medical Sonography (preferred).
    • Associate of Applied Science in Imaging (preferred).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (preferred).
    • State Licensure Certification (preferred or required by the state where the job is being performed).
    • Registration with ARRT or RDMS or CNMT (required).
    • Required to be competent in 2 of the following and obtain certification within 12 months:
      • Bone Densitometry (BD)
      • Breast Sonography (BS)
      • Radiologic Technology (R)
      • Computed Tomography (CT)
      • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
      • Ultrasonography (S)
      • Nuclear Medicine (N)
      • Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV)
      • Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI)
      • Cardiac Sonographer (CS)
      • Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI)
      • Mammography (M)
      • Vascular Sonography (VS)
      • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

    Experience

    • 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment (preferred).

    Training

    • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred).
    • Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred).
    • Radiology Information System (RIS) (preferred).
    • IV Contrast Administration (preferred).
