Speech Language Pathologist
Job Description:
- Provide quality speech pathology services through evaluation of patients.
- Deliver prescribed treatment to restore function and prevent disability.
- Work primarily on Saturdays and Sundays in acute care for evaluations and treatments (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).
- Support outpatient role on Mondays (8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. or until at least 5 p.m.) for pediatric and adult patient populations.
- Potential to expand outpatient role to Mondays and Tuesdays or Mondays and Fridays as needs increase.
- Outpatient treatment for adults includes cognitive, oncology, voice, and dysphagia.
- Pediatric needs include developmental issues, post-NICU feeding, autism, dyslexia, and other related disorders.
Requirements:
- 2 years hospital experience preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Certifications:
- Required: SLP (Speech Language Pathologist)
- Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)
Education:
- Required: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
