    As a Licensed Clinical Therapist / Independent Licensed Therapist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will provide patients with behavioral and mental health treatments, including the option to provide individual, couple's, and family therapy.

    Job Description

    • Form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
    • Screen and assess patients for common mental health disorders
    • Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches consistent with your training and clinical competence. These could include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, or other evidence-based methods
    • Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
    • Opportunities to represent the practice in community presentations and lectures
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

    Requirements

    • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
    • Clear, active, and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LPC) in the state of practice
    • Currently eligible to be enrolled as a provider in the Medicare program or able to terminate opt-out (if applicable) prior to starting a new position

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
    • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
    • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness

    The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
