    Job Description:

    • Perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention.
    • Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
    • Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
    • Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
    • Adhere to policy, procedures, protocols, and mission statements.
    • Assess the patient physical condition, age, and specific needs.
    • Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
    • Acquire patient's clinical history and assure that the information is accurately documented.
    • Position patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
    • Assess processed radiographs for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
    • Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
    • Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality Control tasks.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in contrast medication injection.
    • Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
    • Apply sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
    • Assist in supervision of student technologists.
    • Utilize Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
    • Ensure safety of patients.
    • Maintain reasonable regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
    • Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
    • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
    • Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
    • Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
