Gastroenterologist

Join our team as a Gastroenterologist, providing care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and the ability to manage a busy schedule.

Job Description

• Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• Hospital rounds and consults to be completed daily on assigned weeks, averaging 5-10 inpatient consults per day while on-call
• Hospital rounds and consults on weekends (4 hours per day of onsite work)
• Patients per day: approximately 10-14 inpatients per day with a PA to assist Monday through Friday
• Rounds, emergencies, outpatient procedures (if needed), and floor consults (6-10 per day)
• Procedures required: EGDs, colonoscopies, EGD with dilatations, PEG placement and change, and all standard GI procedures
• Prefer an advanced provider to perform ERCP

Requirements

• Current active PA license
• All general GI procedures
• Must be board certified/board eligible within 5 years of residency through the American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty of Gastroenterology
• Must be fellowship trained in Gastroenterology

Additional Information

Monday through Friday GI lab hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM, with call typically starting at 5 PM. May get called into the hospital 1-3 times per week. Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 30 days.
