Nocturnist Physician

Job Description:

• Department: Hospitalist, Internal Medicine, and Board Certified in Peds Hospitalist
• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
• EMR System: MediTech

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
• Licensed in SC only
• Fellowship: Preferred
• Minimum Board Certification: Certified
• Certifications: ACLS, NRP

Responsibilities:

• Provide hospitalist services in a hospital setting
• Handle Peds core privileges including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation for patients from birth to young adulthood (18 years of age) with acute and chronic diseases
• Manage an average census of 10-12 patients per day per physician
• Comfortable with ICU components: vent management, intubation, central lines with telehealth pulm/cc support
• Support Level II nursery and Pediatric inpatient care
• Management of ICU patients and perform procedures such as intubations, Glideslopes, Central Lines, Paracentesis, and Thoracentesis
• Include Tele ICU

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am
• Coverage dates: December 23, 2024, to December 26, 2024
• Avg Census: 16-20 patients

Professional Development:

• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
