    Urgent Care Physician

    Location: Springfield, Joplin, and Webb City, Missouri

    Job Description:

    • Specialties include Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Urgent Care
    • Facilities located in Springfield, Joplin, and Webb City, MO
    • Practice setting is outpatient
    • See 30-50 patients per shift
    • Use Epic EMR system
    • Scheduled clinical hours only

    Requirements:

    • Must be board certified/eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
    • Must show proof of 50 patient encounters in the last 12 months
    • BLS certification required from the American Heart Association
    • Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), reading EKGs and X-rays
    • Must be comfortable with EMR systems, Epic experience is a plus
    • Willing to work with medical assistants, scribes, and rad techs as support staff

    Scheduling:

    • Up to 14 shifts per month, with a preference for those covering a significant number of shifts
    • Centers open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday
    • Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends
    • Will schedule 4 shifts in a row

    Additional Details:

    • Urgent Care clinic requires the provider to see patients 6 months and up
    • Procedures include suturing, wound care, I & Ds, splinting, X-Ray and ECG over-read, and IV placement
