Non-Invasive Cardiologist

Location: Hartford, Connecticut

Job Description:

• 7 on and 7 off inpatient coverage from 8 AM-5 PM in the hospital, then unrestricted call from 5 PM-8 AM (from hotel)
• Inpatient APP support overnight, with MD taking first call
• Perform non-invasive testing, nuclear stress tests, TEE during the 8 AM-5 PM shift
• Supervision of APP and Cardiology Fellows
• Patient age demographic: Adult and Geriatric
• Documentation System/EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• CT License
• ACLS
• Must be proficient in echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, electrical cardioversions, electrocardiograms (EKGs), treadmill stress tests, chemical stress tests

Additional Information:

• Call Ratio: 7 on/7 off
• Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: Consults only, varies significantly, with support of APP and Fellows in-house, approx. 25-40
• Trauma Level/Designation: Level One
• Total Number of Beds: 600 total - covering 25-40 with APP and fellow support
• Number of ICU Beds: 42 total - covering 1-10 with fellow support
• Number of Cardiologists in Group: 12 in total, 7 noninvasive
• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Expect minimum 30-60 days for credentialing
