Job Description:

• Locum job opening
• ASAP-ongoing
• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible critical care physician
• Work for a private hospitalist group
• Seeking coverage every Thursday at 12p until Friday at 7a
• You can work 1-4 Thursdays a month - very flexible
• Work at a specialty hospital - you'd see patients for their internal medicine needs
• No ER
• No admissions
• No ICU
• You'd assist with code response - very rare
• You'd handle the inpatient hospitalist rounding duties
• This hospital does cervical spine surgeries on Thursdays - they need an intensivist on site just in case the patient needs to be intubated
• 9 times out of 10 anesthesia is on site, but an intensivist needs to be there just in case
• In extremely rare cases, you may need to do a central line
• No vents
• Post surgical follow up
• Single coverage
• Days: see anywhere between 6-18 patients during the week
• Nights are extremely slow - physicians often sleep at night
• EMR: Meditech
• Credentialing takes 1-3 months but the group will work to get it expedited
