Join our team in Des Moines, Iowa, for a permanent position as a Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon in both the clinic and the operating room.

Job Description

• Work alongside an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon in clinic (1 day) and in the OR (4 days)
• Assist with call per the physician's preference (1 day per week; approximately 1-2 weekends per month)
• Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations
• Assist in providing pre-op and post-op care, may write orders
• Assist with preparation of sterile area and room setup before procedures
• Assist surgical team during operative procedures as directed by the physician

Requirements

• Board certified or truly board eligible physician assistant
• Previous trauma surgery experience
• No new grads considered
