    Job Description

    • Start: March 2025 - dates are 17th - 21st and 24th - 28th
    • Shift: Truly varied - 4p-1a, 9a-6p, 8a-6p, 3p-11p, 7a-3p
    • Reason for coverage: Providers out on leave
    • Percent of total hospital admissions received from ED: 81%
    • Percent of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day: 12%
    • Percent of ED patients transferred per day: 0.002%
    • Trauma level/designation: Level I
    • Total number of beds: 59 beds
    • Annual ER volume: 101,692
    • Number of ED physicians in group: 23
    • Fast track in ED staffed by MD and APP
    • Percent of total ED volume treated by fast track: 40%
    • The locum physician will be required to supervise other health care providers and residents
    • Documentation system/EMR: EPIC
    • ED staff does not respond to house codes
    • 24-hour availability for radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray)
    • 24-hour availability for laboratory
    • Blood bank certified by AABB
    • 24-hour availability for the OR
    • 24-hour availability for anesthesia
    • Surgical services: Neuro, Ortho
    • Peds EM board certified or board eligible (within 5 years of residency) (ABEM/AOBEM/ABPEM) - required
    • PALS/ATLS/BLS - required
    • Active OH license - required (will accept providers willing to obtain)
