    Job Description:

    • Serve as the organization's Infection Control Officer
    • Develop, implement, and manage the infection prevention program
    • Set appropriate infection prevention goals and objectives
    • Review and revise hospital policies and procedures
    • Educate staff on tools and techniques to reduce the risk of infectious diseases
    • Create an Infection Control Plan and Risk Assessment
    • Coordinate with Accreditation and collaborate with RRMC leaders
    • Utilize quality improvement & project management tools to lead improvement projects
    • Interpret and communicate data regarding infection prevention

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health, Nursing, or related field, or equivalent experience
    • Master's degree preferred
    • 3 years' experience in an acute or post-acute care setting
    • Infection prevention experience strongly preferred
    • Experience with organizations such as CDC, The Joint Commission, and CMS
    • Experience gathering and analyzing large and complex sets of data

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • Current Professional Licensure/Certifications in accordance with degree/profession
    • Board Certified Infection Control (CIC) within 2 years of hire
    • Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is desirable
    • Certified as a Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) is desirable

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

    • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams with positive results
    • Knowledge of clinical terminology and processes/practices
    • Working knowledge of microbiology, asepsis, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization
    • Proficiency in universally accepted quality improvement methods and change management
    • Strong Microsoft desktop application skills
    • Willingness and ability to utilize personal vehicle for work purposes
    • Strong analytical skills to assess and analyze process and outcome information
    • Facilitation and presentation skills
    • Team-building and problem-solving skills

    Salary Range:

    $63,350.00 - $101,200.00
