Occupational Therapist - Early Intervention
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist to help us build something big—a team that delivers exceptional early intervention services to help kids and their families succeed. You'll be working with families and shaping how we deliver innovative, results-driven therapy to the kids who need it most.
Job Description
- Provide a comprehensive service and support plan including IFSP/IEP goals.
- Complete assessments in accordance with program requirements in all developmental areas and identify areas of concern.
- Adhere to frequency, duration, and appropriate treatment guidelines as indicated.
- Complete make-up sessions as indicated.
- Communicate timely with parents, service coordinators, and administration per guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive treatment to infants and toddlers utilizing modalities to promote developmental growth in natural environments.
- Assess child's performance in activities that are meaningful, family-oriented, and applicable to daily routines.
- Document child's progress on session notes and during daily/quarterly/annual meetings, as dictated by county and state guidelines.
- Modify treatment goals as indicated, on appropriate forms and in a timely manner.
- Document plans and information needed for team meetings.
- Attend and participate in meetings as indicated by company, state, and local program requirements.
- Cover other therapists' patient caseload during absence as necessary.
- Maintain professional relationships with co-workers, children, and children's families.
- Adhere to productivity requirements, complete productivity reports, and submit in a timely manner.
- Provide in-person services using the coaching and reflective model, transdisciplinary, and primary service provider approach.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Plan work schedule in the identified system at least 1 week in advance.
- Notify case manager of all concerns regarding caseload.
- Respond to email within 24-48 hours.
- Complete training, professional license renewals, and yearly clearances as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited university with a B.S., MA, or M.S. in Occupational Therapy that is recognized by the AOTA.
- Recognized by the NBCOT as a designated OTR (if state mandated).
- Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).
- 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience (required) not including fieldwork hours.

Physical Demands
Employee should be able to transfer children, transport children, and perform treatment on the floor or a mat. Employees should be knowledgeable in exercise, proper handling of infants, and good body mechanics during patient treatment.
