General Dentist

Community Health Center is seeking a mission-driven General Dentist to join a dynamic and expanding dental team. Serving Alleghany, Ashe, and Watauga Counties, we offer comprehensive healthcare services including dental, medical, behavioral health, and more.

Job Description

• 7-chair dental facility renovated in 2020, equipped with digital radiographs, nitrous oxide, and portable dental equipment for a robust school outreach program.
• Dental team includes 2 full-time dentists and a pediatric dentist available one day a week.
• Supported by 1 hygiene assistant, 7 dental assistants, front desk staff, and an office manager.
• Provider will see 15-22 patients per day, including hygiene checks, limited exams, and restorative/surgical procedures. 25% of the patients are pediatric.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Thursday schedule, working from 7:15 AM to 5:00 PM.
• No on-call duties or weekends.
• Occasional Friday training and organizational events.

Requirements

• Must hold a North Carolina Dental License.
• Comfortable performing extractions, prosthetics, restorative, and pediatric dentistry.
• Public health experience is preferred, and we are looking for a team player with excellent time management and patient care skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary range + $10k sign-on/relocation package.
• PTO on an accrual system, with 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave accrued per month, plus 12 paid state holidays. Vacation hours increase over time.

• CME allowance of $2000 per year.
• Potential eligibility for student loan repayment through the NHSC.
• Retirement through LGERS, with employees contributing 6% of their paycheck and the agency contributing 12.88%. A 401K is offered (not matched).
