Speech Language Pathologist - Outpatient Ideal, UHS Home Care Ideal
Ensures that speech-language pathology services are administered in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Provides speech-language pathology patient evaluations and treatment for hospital-based inpatient and/or outpatient services, as well as associated clinical documentation. Maintains specific service delivery standards which address commitment to service, customer satisfaction, ongoing evaluation of customer expectations, integration with quality process, communication and interaction standards, turn-around time and information processing standards, corporate compliance requirements, and physical amenities/environment of care.
Job Description
- Administer speech-language pathology services in a timely and reliable manner
- Provide patient evaluations and treatment for inpatient and outpatient services
- Maintain clinical documentation and service delivery standards
Requirements
- Minimum Required:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship year candidate
- Preferred:
- Previous clinical experience
- Experience with dysphagia and neurogenic communication disorders
License/Certification
- Minimum Required:
- NYS license or eligibility to be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist
- CPR certification within the first 3 months of employment
- Preferred:
- Certification as Teacher of Speech and Language Disabilities
