    About the job

    Staff Nurse

UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital is seeking experienced RNs who are looking for more than just a career in health care. Our nurses are the heart of the organization. Passion, patient care, and community are their first priority. The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN or GN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Here, we believe people must always be at the core of healthcare. For us, connection is camaraderie. We recognize the strengths and sacrifices of those we work with. We take an interest in each other's lives beyond the waiting room or operating room. We show up for one another even when we're not on a shift. At UHS, through compassion, trust, respect, teamwork, and innovation, our employees have the opportunity to not only get ahead but also be more involved. This is a place where you can expect to both provide help and receive it. This is a place dedicated to building a positive environment for those wanting to make a positive impact.
