    Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse

    Join our team as a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse at UHS Home Care TTHH. This position offers a day shift with a commitment of 40 hours per week, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact in patient-centered care.

    Job Description

    • Responsible and accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services, Home Care policies and philosophy, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics for Nurses.
    • Promote a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

    Requirements

    • Minimum Required:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
      • 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting
      • Completion of an accredited WOCN program for WOC Nursing (WOCNEP) within 1 year
    • Preferred:
      • Previous completion of a WOCNEP program
      • Previous experience as a WOCN
      • 6 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting

    License/Certification

    • Minimum Required:
      • Current New York State Registered Nurse License
      • Certification through the WOCN Certification Board (WOCNCB) within 1 year
    • Preferred:
      • Current certification as a Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse (CWOCN) through WOCNCB
