    Job Description:

    • Responsible for strategic and operational leadership of clinical nursing.
    • Provides oversight of business, financial personnel, and clinical programming.
    • Possesses overall managerial responsibilities for patient care delivery.
    • Accountable for operational performance, service quality, and financial performance.
    • Collaborates with Medical Staff on clinical outcomes and efficiency.
    • Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides leadership by directing, coordinating, and delegating patient care.
    • Manages staffing needs, including scheduling and payroll review.
    • Coordinates staff education and specialized training programs.
    • Resolves complex unit situations and conducts daily safety huddles.
    • Rounds with team members monthly to maintain a positive work environment.
    • Evaluates staff performance and provides feedback.
    • Develops action plans based on engagement surveys.
    • Participates in UPH-Marshalltown meetings as requested.
    • Collaborates proactively with medical staff on patient care.
    • Ensures patient safety needs are met through technology and interventions.

    Performance Improvement:

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors of Science in Nursing; Masters of Nursing preferred.
    • Three years of experience as a House Supervisor or Nurse Manager.
    • Previous executive-level nursing experience in an acute setting preferred.
    • Current license in the state of Iowa or meets Iowa Board of Nursing criteria.
    • Ability to meet department work schedule.
