Job Description

• Specialization: 15 bed ICU catering specifically to the Liver Transplant and Transplant Hepatology populations with critical care needs.
• Patient Care Ratios: Enjoy 1:1 and 1:2 nurse to patient ratios tailored to the complexity of patient assignments.
• Provider Coverage: Benefit from round-the-clock in-person provider coverage on the unit, ensuring optimal patient care.
• Growth: Our Liver Transplant program is thriving, with volumes increasing year after year. In 2023 alone, VCU Health completed an impressive 205 liver transplants!

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible
• Current RN Licensure in Virginia AHA BLS Certification or equivalent
• 5 years of relevant clinical experience with 2 of those years of progressive leadership and/or supervisory/management experience
• Bachelor's degree in nursing. Must be enrolled in a Master's degree program at the time of application and must be complete within 36 months of hire.
• Special consideration will be given for applicants enrolled in baccalaureate to doctoral programs who will not attain a Master's degree and may require longer than 36 months to complete the terminal degree.
• If the Master's degree is not in nursing then it is required to have a BSN from an accredited school.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in academic medical center environment
• Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Certification in specialty area.
