Location: Lancaster, CA

Job Description:

• Provide high-risk obstetrical services
• Manage unassigned OB patients that present to L&D and the main ER
• Provide coverage of obstetric emergencies
• Manage unassigned GYN patients that present to the main ER
• Triage all unassigned patients and assist private physicians when requested
• Perform antepartum, post-partum, and GYN rounds on unassigned patients that are on the OB/GYN Hospitalist service
• Conduct inpatient consults

Program Details:

• Patient population: Serving an agricultural area
• Of the 5000 total hospital annual births, at least 750 to 800 are handled by our hospitalists
• NICU Level III
• EMR: Cerner
• Shift rotation: Full-time on average 7-8 non-consecutive in-house shifts per month
• Shifts are 24 hours in length; the provider must remain in-house during their shift

Requirements:

• California licensure
• Board certification with a minimum of 2-3 years of active experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, and case logs required
• Boards: AOBOG, ABOG

Pay Rate:

• $260/hr
