Safety Companion

VHS is looking for a qualified Safety Companion in Syracuse, NY. This position offers a start date of February 21, 2025, and an end date of May 26, 2025, with a duration of 13 weeks. Shifts are 12 hours, with both day and night shifts available.

Job Description

• Provides constant observation of patients in need of safety watch, including those patients on suicide watch and those that are confused, agitated, and/or at high risk for falls and injury to self.
• Some basic patient care expected such as ambulation, toileting, skin care, and mouth care as needed.

Requirements

• Able to be certified/re-certified in CPR.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, ability to work well in teams, and exhibits patient focus.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
